MEET OUR OWNERS
Carel and Sally are the architects behind these East Africa adventures. They’ve shared wildlife sightings from East African National Parks, led mountain expeditions, & live-streamed from remote peaks. Their itineraries are born from personal experience, living & working in the Serengeti, exploring mountain peaks, and traveling throughout East Africa.

The guru of all things East African. He’s climbed Kilimanjaro more times than we can count, his pioneering safari spirit is rivaled only by his love for Zanzibar, he fondly calls it, “his island.”
Raised amidst the wilder days & untamed landscapes of South Africa’s Kruger National Park, he developed a profound affinity for nature, biodiversity and conservation.
While his guiding career spans the African continent, it’s Tanzania that truly captivated him.
For nearly two decades, Carel has been a key figure in conserving the region’s natural resources and wildlife biodiversity.

Sally is the mastermind behind orchestrating seamless journeys. Her role as a “bridge” between the Western World and Africa stems from her rich life experiences, having lived and worked in both realms. Born in Zimbabwe but nurtured in Cape Town, she’s a seasoned traveler who ventured across the globe, from London to Lima, New York to New Zealand.
She’s a travel coordinator by design but also a physiotherapist by trade, problem solver by nature, and a conservationist by desire.

He’s more of a wildlife enthusiast than a mountaineer, and his passion reflects in his incredible guiding skills.
Zebadia is more than a responsible guide; he’s an exceptional driver, a wildlife spotter extraordinaire, and a versatile camp manager. With a ready smile and a hands-on attitude, he ensures every camp detail, from solar to plumbing, is in impeccable order.

With a name that sounds like an adventure itself, Mashine is your guide to every nook and cranny of the Serengeti & beyond.
He doesn’t just find leopards; he understands their secretive ways. Dubbed “machine” for his exceptional guiding skills, you’ll feel like you are traveling with royalty in his car.
He’s not just a guide; he’s also a top-tier mechanic, a stellar organizer, a devoted family man, and the kind of team member you’d want for all your adventures.

The unsung heroes behind the scenes, they wake up at the crack of dawn to prepare your breakfast and pack your lunch while you’re on a game drive.
They happily cook amazing 3 course meals for dinner in a small bush kitchen. From housekeeping to laundry, maintaining camp facilities to ensuring you have hot water for your shower, and crafting unforgettable campfires – Alex and his team do the hard yards behind the scene at camp.

Kabisa has absolutely captured our hearts.
He is young, enthusiastic predominantly German Shepherd that’s more bark than bite.
He thinks all socks and all biltong in the world belong to him & him alone.
