How do I get to Tanzania?
International flights typically arrive at:

Do I need malaria medication?
Tanzania is a malaria-prone area. There is no risk of malaria above 1,800m, although bite avoidance is recommended. There is a risk of malaria in all areas of Tanzania below 1,800m (including Zanzibar). Consult your doctor about prophylactic medication, and take necessary precautions.

WHEN TO GO & HOW LONG TO STAY
When is the best time to travel?
The ideal time depends on your interests:
- July–September: Mara River crossings during the Great Migration.
- January–March: Calving season in the southern Serengeti with lush green landscapes and predator activity.
- November–March: Green season for birding and fewer crowds.
How long do I need for a safari?
This is impossible for us to answer, as you have to be in the bush to see things, so we answer as long as you can! A 7–10 day safari trip allows you to explore a couple of areas without rushing.
How long should we stay to see the Great Migration?
We personally recommend at least three nights at migration camp during key seasons to witness phenomena like river crossings or calving. Remember the great migration happens all year round.
